Let's Get Started

To all of you who struggle with Binge Eating Disorder (BED), and to those of you who struggle with your weight and "identify" although you don't have a diagnosed eating disorder, welcome!

What is a life coach?

Typically we think of coach as someone, like a sports coach from high school, who instructs, directs and motivates us to achieve a specific goal.

A life coach is someone that supports you in determining and achieving your personal goals. Coaching is action-based and always forward focused so it supports you in looking at where you are today, where you wish to be and how you can best achieve your desired outcomes. Your coach is your unbiased supporter and accountability partner. The process is co-creative focusing entirely on your interests, challenges and goals, and takes place in a respectful, supportive and positive space. Sound good?

Do you need coaching?

In short, no. The real question is could coaching be of benefit to you, and the answer to that is an emphatic YES! Recently I read somewhere that a weeks worth of New York Times news papers contained more information in them than someone in the 18Th century would come across in an entire life time. Wow! We are on information overload and living at such a frenetic pace and for the most part it's all in order to "get, have, be" all the things that we believe will make us happy or "fix" us.

Investing in a coaching relationship is an investment in yourself and a declaration that you wish to be at cause in your life. That you are capable and worthy, and that regardless of what the scale says, you have a contribution to make. Don't suffer in silence and make yourself small, stand up because life begins at the end of our comfort zones!
